Staff is due to reach embattled seagoing man Abby Sunderland, in the formula of a French fishing yacht named Ile De La Reunion, at close to midnight (PDT) tonight.
The 16-year-old cad, who had not been heard from exchange for 20 hours after activating her difficulty attendant beacons, but was set up to be protected late Thursday night aboard her de-masted vessel, is not out of danger yet.
